Terms Beginning with the Letter "T"
Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) syndrome is the treatment of jaw joint disorders including conditions of structures linking the jaw bone and skull and complex of muscles, nerves and other tissues related to the Temporomandibular joint. Care and treatment shall include, but are not limited to orthodontics, crowns, inlays, physical therapy and any appliance that is attached to or rests on the teeth.
Total Disability (Totally Disabled) means in the case of an Active Employee, the complete inability to perform any and every duty of his or her occupation or of a similar occupation for which the person is reasonably capable due to education and training, as a result of Injury of Sickness. In the case of a Dependent, the complete inability as a result of Injury or Sickness to perform the normal activities of a person of like age and gender in good health. |
