Terms Beginning with the Letter "A"
Active Employee is an Employee who is on the regular payroll of the Employer and who is scheduled to perform the duties of his or her job with the Employer on a full time basis. For purposes of eligibility to participate in the Plan, an Employee will be considered an Active Employee if absent due to a Health Status Related Factor other than Substance Abuse or chemical dependency.
Administrator or Plan Administrator shall mean the person responsible for the day-to-day functions and management of the Plan. The Administrator may employ persons or firms to process claims and perform other Plan related services.
Ambulatory Surgical Center is a licensed facility that is used mainly for performing outpatient surgery, has a staff of Physicians, has continuous Physician and nursing care by registered nurses (R.N.s) and does not provide for overnight stays.
